“Still Rollin India Tour”, Shubh’s Tour cancelled as controversy loophole : All you should know

Singer Shubhneet Singh’s Still Rollin Tour for India has been cancelled, according to a post on X from the ticketing website BookMyShow. For all customers who had bought tickets for the performance, BookMyShow has started a full refund of the ticket price. Within 7 to 10 business days, the refund will appear in the customer’s original transaction source account.

Over the following two months, the vocalist from Canada was set to perform in a number of locations in India including Mumbai, Bengaluru, Delhi, and Kolkata.

Additionally, he was featured as one of the main performers at a cruise festival that would take place later this week aboard Cordelia Cruises in Mumbai.

The change occurred as Shubh was the target of continuous demonstrations in Mumbai organized by the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM), the BJP’s youth wing. The cancellation of the singer’s tour and performance was one of BJYM’s requests. In an earlier letter, they requested that the Mumbai police file a FIR against Shubh “for waging war against the Government of India and posting anti-government posts.”

According to BJYM, on March 23, 2023, Shubh uploaded two Instagram stories bearing the message “Pray for Punjab” and a distorted map of India devoid of Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab.

According to the memorandum that BJYM sent to the Mumbai police, the singer intended to demonstrate that Punjab is not a part of India and to advance the Khalistani cause.

Shubh is an outspoken supporter of Khalistani, and if he is permitted to perform here, he will persuade many young people in Mumbai and throughout the nation to back his goal. By publishing such ludicrous and disparaging posts about the Government of India, he has demonstrably shown that he is a pro-Khalistani activist and openly supports their cause. He is also encouraging the youth of the nation to do the same and wage a war against the Government of India, according to the complaint.
