Bengaluru Bandh : See what is closed and what is open

More than 175 organizations from all throughout the state have endorsed the bandh and stated that they back the protesting farmer groups.

On Tuesday, a Bengaluru Bandh has been announced by pro-Kannada and farmer organizations, and many city functions are anticipated to halt. More than 175 groups from all over the state have endorsed the bandh and claimed they support the farmer organizations protesting the release of Cauvery water to Tamil Nadu.

The bandh is expected to be complete because opposition parties have backed it and Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has stated that the administration won’t try to stop it.

Both KSRTC and BMTC services are anticipated to be interrupted by the “Bengaluru Bandh,” which has received additional support from the Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) Staff and Workers Federation.

Services for private taxis

Tanveer Pasha, president of the Ola, Uber Drivers and Owners Association, declared support for the bandh and made the decision to avoid driving on Tuesday. “There will be no giving in on issues relating to land, language, or water. Without a doubt, we back the bandh,” Pasha declared, backing the bandh.

Colleges and Schools
Although the general secretary of the Private Schools Union, Shashikumar, stated that they will show their support by donning black bands on their arms, many schools and colleges have not yet announced a holiday. Today, a choice will be made in this regard.


Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited will operate metro services throughout the city. There won’t be any delays on any of Bengaluru’s Namma metro’s lines.

Emergency assistance

Ambulances, pharmaceutical vans, and other crucial goods-carrying vehicles involved in emergency services will all be in operation. Additionally, hospitals and drug stores will operate normally.

Restaurants and cabs

As cabs are likely to be available, restaurants will continue to be open.
