The BJP launched a fierce attack on the Congress on Saturday in response to a juvenile in Dausa, Rajasthan, being raped by a police official. The BJP said that the Ashok Gehlot government’s catchphrase is “save the rapists.” In retaliation, Congress leader Jairam Ramesh accused the Bharatiya Janata Party of being “number one” in the state of Madhya Pradesh for its crimes against women.

“In Rajasthan, there has been a shocking case of an innocent 4-year-old being brutally raped.” Remarkably, the accused was institutionally saved by the Rajasthan Police and the administration! While PM Modi is running on the platform of “Beti Bachao,” the Gehlot government’s slogan is “Balaatkari Bachao” (Save the Rapists). The BJP posted this on X.

“It occurs every day in Rajasthan. What would the public witness if sexual harassment of 35,000 women occurred in Rajasthan and an atmosphere was established wherein the PAs of Rajasthan Congress MLAs, as well as the families of MLAs and ministers, were involved?.. This has to do with destroying the environment. The chief minister and home minister, Ashok Gehlot, bears full responsibility for this, according to BJP MP Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore.

BJP’s spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla charged that the administration was attempting to shield the officer.

“This horrifying story has emerged today from Dausa, where a Rajasthan Police sub-inspector sexually assaulted a four-year-old girl. The Rajasthan police and administration acted institutionally to shield the offenders rather than acting swiftly against them. Nothing was done to suspend right away. What about the two other law enforcement officers who assisted this specific accused in damaging the evidence? He said that the Rajasthan police and administration had not yet taken action against them.

According to ASP Dausa, Bajrang Singh Shekhawat, an accusation has been made against the accused under the POCSO and SC/ST acts.

The sub-inspector in question has been placed on administrative leave.

Jairam Ramesh claims the BJP has no problems in Rajasthan.
In response to the BJP’s barrage of accusations, Ramesh asserted that the party has no genuine problems in Rajasthan, which the Congress dominates.

“It is awful wherever crimes against women take place. We must denounce them. When it comes to incidents of crimes against women and Dalits, Madhya Pradesh tops the list. The criminal processes are held in Rajasthan. According to news agency ANI, he stated, “Those who commit crimes are dealt with as soon as feasible.

“BJP is issueless in Rajasthan. They have a weapon- ED and CBI, who will now take a break for Diwali and will become active again and the second weapon is the language of polarisation. PM Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, UP CM, Assam CM; all of them will adopt the language of polarization because they are nervous,” he added.

He claimed that the BJP was attempting to draw attention away from the development work being done by the government.
