DME Media School Hosts International Conference on Environmental Education

On October 31, 2023, DME Media School, in association with eminent educational institutions such as RELTTAW (Research on Learning: Training and Teaching Activities Worldwide), VEIU (Vision for Excellence), International University, TMP Group, Fides, Denmark, ADI Africa, Eco, and GMEC Global Media Education Council, India, organized a noteworthy one-day conference on ‘Environment Learning, Training, and Teaching Activities Worldwide’ at Studio 62.

Important topics concerning environmental education were discussed by distinguished attendees, who included teachers, researchers, and trainers from over 15 nations, including Italy, Denmark, Romania, Russia, Kazakhstan, Japan, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Jordan, Nepal, Bangladesh, India, Congo, Yemen, and Somalia.

The conference commenced with an inaugural session graced by Dr. Ravikant Swami, Director of DME; Mr. Ujjwal Chaudhary, Vice President of GMEC; Dr. Ambrish Saxena, Dean of DME Media School; Dr. Susmita Bala, Head of the Department, DME Media School; and Ms. Corina Sujdea, Founder and Romanian European Project Coordinator at RELTTAW.

The main topics of discussion were urgent environmental issues, such as the effects of climate change in poor countries and the role of the media in raising public awareness and promoting constructive change. Presentations addressed a wide range of subjects, including historical tourism, technology developments in education, desertification, and biodiversity protection initiatives.

The conference culminated in an engaging panel discussion featuring experts like Dr. Ambrish Saxena, Mr. Ujjwal Chaudhary, Ms. Corina Sujdea, and Dr. Ryo Takahashi from the American University of Sovereign Nations.

The talk focused on how the media shapes public perceptions of and actions related to environmental issues.

The papers were presented by participants from various countries, with 14 presentations led by Dr. Pramod Kumar Pandey, Academic Coordinator at DME School, and Dr. Manasvi Maheshwari, Associate Professor at DME Media School.

The occasion served as a forum for insightful and productive conversations, greatly advancing the international conversation on environmental awareness and education.
