On October 6, a full dress rehearsal was held at Prayagraj in preparation for the Indian Air Force’s 91st anniversary celebration. The celebration’s primary elements include a ceremonial march and an awe-inspiring aerial spectacle above Sangam in the afternoon.

Air Force Day marks the formal entry of India’s Air Force (IAF) into the country’s armed forces on February 1, 1932. The attendance of the Indian Air Force commander and top officers is a highlight of this yearly event.

The IAF was founded in 1932 as a support force for the Royal Air Force of the United Kingdom, and its first operational squadron was constituted in 1933. Since 1950, the IAF has taken an important role in several key operations, including Operation Vijay, Operation Meghdoot, Operation Cactus, and Operation Poomalai.
