Shubh posts on social media after Kangana Ranaut criticizes singer Shubh for his “Indira Gandhi” hoodie

Singer Shubh received criticism from Kangana Ranaut for wearing a sweatshirt bearing the date of Indira Gandhi’s killing. The singer, who is now in Canada, has now released a statement.

Finally speaking up on the historic hoodie incident was Canadian singer Shubh. In a statement, he warned that people will always bring up his actions ‘against’ him.

For the uninitiated, it was previously claimed that Shubh ‘glorified Indira Gandhi’s assassins in London by hoisting a sweatshirt with the date and photo of her killing on the Punjab map”

In order to address the matter, Shubh broke his quiet on Tuesday on Instagram stories. “No matter what I do, there will always be people who will find a way to turn it against me,” he wrote. At my first gig in London, the audience threw a lot of clothing, jewelry, and phones at me.

He continued, “I was there to perform, not to see what got thrown at me and what is on it. The team has worked very hard for the last couple of months to perform for you all. Stop spreading hate and negativity (sic).”

A video from Shubh’s concert was circulated on the Internet that showed the singer holding a black colored hoodie which was thrown at him by one of his fans from the crowd. Reacting to the same clip, Kangana shared a post on her X account (formerly Twitter) in which she criticesed the artist.

“Celebrating the cowardly killing of an elderly woman by those whom she designated as her saviors,” the author said. When someone puts their trust in you to defend them, but you abuse that trust and faith by using the same weapons to kill the people you were supposed to be protecting, such behavior is despicable cowardice rather than courage. There is nothing to be proud of here, Shubham ji. One should be embarrassed of such a brutal attack on an elderly woman who was defenseless and ignorant—a woman who was the chosen leader of a democracy. Disgrace (sic).

Shubh has been the subject of criticism before. This is not the first time.Shubh had a fierce reaction this month after it was claimed that he had backed Khalistani elements in a previous social media post. Soon after, his Mumbai concert was cancelled.
